Female mosquitoes lay eggs every 3rd day during their lifespan, usually in clumps of 100-300 eggs. The eggs are deposited in standing water. Mosquitoes can lay eggs in as little as I inch of water. When the eggs hatch the larvae emerge. It takes about a week for them to develop into Pupae. It takes about 4 days for the adult mosquito to emerge. They can live for a month or two.
